Frankincense Carterii essential oil is hydro-distilled from a Middle Eastern or African tree’s gum resin. It has been used for thousands of years as a spiritual incense, folk medicine, and in cosmetics.
Uses:
- For swelling, bruises, sores and pains from traumatic injuries.
- Can help rejuvenate mature skin as cream or serums on face.
- Can help to boost the immune system.
- Can also be a dear friend in times of sorrow.
Blends well with:
Bergamot, Cedarwood atlas, Clary sage, Coriander seed, Myrrh, Orange sweet, Pine scots, Vetiver.
Directions:
1) For joint pain: Use 5 - 7 drops of frankincense oil in 1 tablespoon of carrier oil and soothe over aching joints or add to skin rejuvenating preparations.
2) Add to unscented lotion with a drop or two of Myrrh or Rose for uplifting and comforting blend.
3) For face application dilute 1 - 2%. For other parts of the body, dilute 2 - 3%.
